Inauguration of the UNCTAD MENA Programme Consumer Protection Regional Training Centre
The UNCTAD MENA Programme together with Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency will inaugurate the Training Centre on Consumer Protection. Located in Cairo, Egypt, the Regional Training Centre is expected to become important for planning, coordinating and implementing UNCTAD’s capacity building activities in Arabic, English and French.
The Center will start activities in 2018, aiming to provide training services to UNCTAD MENA beneficiary countries (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine).
The ceremony will be launched by the President of Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency, Head of Competition and Consumer Protection Policies Branch UNCTAD and other important Egyptian representatives including a red-ribbon ceremony. Many participants will be attending the ceremony including 40 delegates from UNCTAD MENA Programme beneficiary countries.
