Launch of the Regional Training Centre in the field of Competition Law and Policy
The UNCTAD MENA Programme launch of the Regional Training Centre in the field of Competition Law and Policy is organized within the framework of the UNCTAD MENA Programme on regional economic integration through the adoption of competition and consumer protection policies for countries of Middle East and North Africa (MENA), supported by the Government of Sweden.
UNCTAD and the Egyptian Competition Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22 November 2016 aimed at reinforcing the capacities of the countries of the region, in particular the beneficiary countries of the UNCTAD MENA Programme through the institution of the Regional Training Centre.
Within the framework of the UNCTAD MENA Programme, the Egyptian Competition Authority will cooperate closely with the Tunisian Competition Authorities and the existing Regional Competition Training Center in Tunis, for the training and information exchange among competition authorities of the region, in particular with respect to English language programmes.
