CAS International Competition Law and Compliance Course – ZHAW School of Management and Law and UNCTAD
This course is organized under the MoU between UNCTAD and ZHAW School. UNCTAD is the focal point, within the United Nations system, for Competition law and policy. ZHAW School is one of the largest universities in Switzerland and is renowned for its expertise inter alia, in competition policy, law and economics, and international trade, and shares this expertise as part of its North South corporate social responsibility efforts. Within the course, UNCTAD MENA beneficiary participants are expected to increase their knowledge and expertise for future use in their daily work and furthermore for dissemination in the Competition Authorities of their respective countries.
The course will be organized in thematic areas such as the following: Legal Framework ( be familiar with the sources of law, legal principles, and procedures of national and international competition law, including the United Set on competition) ; Case Law ( be able to apply this knowledge in the real-world context) ; Policy Design ( be able to ply a meaningful role in formulating risk management policies, and independently develop and implement antitrust-compliance programs) and Litigation Skills ( be able to employ effective behavioral and procedural strategies in court and before competition authorities).
